Tomorrow Donald Trump will be in Detroit speaking at the people’s convention at Huntington Place. The convention, put on by nonprofit Turning Point, promotes conservative politics. Today was day one of the convention at Huntington Place, the same building where Trump’s supporters attempted to stop the count in the 2020 election, claiming it was being stolen. 7 News Detroit reporter Whitney Bernie is talking to voters as Trump makes his way back to the city.

As former President Donald Trump prepares to speak at the people’s convention in Detroit, his supporters are gathering at Huntington Place for what promises to be an exciting event. Stacy Neil, who traveled from Adrian, is hopeful for change in the country, stating, “I think that if Donald Trump, which is my vote, will be back in office, things will turn around and we can get this economy back.”
This is the first time Trump is speaking in the city since his supporters attempted to stop the vote count at the exact same Convention Center in 2020. Despite recent legal troubles, some voters believe Trump will come with a stronger, more positive message this time around.
Political Professors Discuss Trump’s Strategy in Expanding Support
Political professor Dave Dulio notes that Trump has increased his support among the African-American community and is likely looking to capture more voters in the coming months. With razor-thin voting margins expected in November, Detroiters and surrounding cities can expect to see many more visits like this leading up to the election.

What happened was β¦
when trained & sworn-in βelection inspectorsβ(poll workers) returned from their break, others inside the building did not let them back in. They blocked the doors & covered the windows, (why the secrecy?) which was totally not compliant with Michigan election poll location procedures (illegal)
After their break, they were supposed to let the workers back in the building to continue working (the polls had not yet closed). The law is that each polling location has equal numbers of workers from each party from one hour before polls open Until after polls close at 8pm & all the machine tapes have been printed & signed by all election inspectors, the Chairman & Co-Chairman. Then the electronic poll book (laptop), flash drive with election results & totals tapes are delivered to the local city/Twp. Office by one of the inspectors. No more ballots are to be tabulated after 8pm.
Then, (after the polls closed) in the middle of the night, trucks pulled up to the building and unloaded boxes & boxes of ballots.
People inside the building tabulated them illegally.
Those ballots should never have been counted.
This was truly election fraud.
