Here on Maui, supplies are pouring in, but the challenge now is getting those supplies to the people who need them. Kai Lenny, a daring big wave professional surfer and a Maui native, says he’s been forced to lead a citizen-run recovery effort because the government’s response has been inadequate. People in the fire zone are telling him they haven’t seen a government employee in days.
At one moment, you’re in beautiful Hawaii, and the next, an amazing tragedy occurs. The government’s lack of response has pushed locals like Kai to take matters into their own hands to help those in need.
When asked about the needs in the days after the fire, Kai mentioned that people were sitting back, waiting for help to arrive, but nothing was happening. That’s when he realized the government was not going to be able to respond effectively, and locals had to step up.
As someone who’s used to facing challenging situations, like riding giant waves, Kai knew he had to speak the truth and take action. He mentioned the chaos and organization at the distribution centers, where volunteers are working tirelessly to assist those affected by the disaster.
Despite the government’s claims of response efforts, Kai and others on the ground continue to see a lack of support in the hardest-hit areas. The frustration and worry among the locals are mounting, as they feel like they’re being overlooked.
It’s clear that the Hawaiian people are resilient and resourceful, coming together in times of need. Kai’s bravery and determination in leading the recovery effort showcase the strength and unity of the community.

Our voices are more powerful than any weapon our government has. We obviously don’t have the means to start a war but if we are all aware about this corruption going on we can stand up and speak for everyone. The whole agenda is to divide us so we can’t rise against but if the whole world is with us let our voices be the fire to spark everyone’s inner flame. I pray these words reaches the whole world.

He's 100 percent correct. We never saw anyone from any government office to help, show up or even tell us what was going on or what happened. The cover up is real. The boat ramp where supplies were coming in is across from my house. The boats started Wed morning. They were all locals and not a single government boat.
This whole fire needs to be looked at from every angle. We can send billions of dollars to foreign countries but can't get support from the military until weeks later. Where is our Federal response to helping Americans?

Needs to be a federal investigation with federal agents brought in not locally. Fact finding and resulting in criminal charges .Too many witnesses and recordings .Governor labels disaster globel warming without fire investigation results how fire started not even complete.
