As former President Donald Trump is about to leave the courthouse after his arraignment in Washington D.C., the judge ordered the prosecutor to produce all exculpatory evidence in the case. Trump appeared impassive in the courtroom and signed an appearance bond under certain conditions of release.
The next hearing in the case is set for August 28th at 10 A.M., with Trump’s first appearance waived. The defense attorneys requested more time for Discovery to estimate the length of the case and ensure a fair and speedy trial.

So it’s ok if the news casters repeatedly regurgitate what the DOJ/Special Prosecutor says about Trump, but Trump can’t exercise his Free Speech. It’s like the DOJ is afraid of the Truth getting out to the public. The DOJ et al have been pushing their spin for 2 1/2 years.
Besides Free Speech (1st Amendment), he has a right to a Public Trial (6th Amendment).

Since it's the law for both sides to produce exp. evidence before trial or a mistrial can be declared, a judge shouldn't have HAD to order it. Pretty sad commentary on the justice system

Trump has been trying to delay his trials to help him in his campaign that may all change on Monday. Trump was informed by the judge on Thursday that he was being released from prison on the condition that he not commit any crimes. Less than 24 hours later he threatened prosecutors which is a felony. He will almost certainly be placed in custody pending a bail hearing after which he may be denied bail or sentenced to house arrest with no media contact.
