We don’t need to be fighting the Russian’s whether that be proxy or not. We need to be allies.

I want to see St Petersburg!

Friedman makes an absurd argument on Ukraine to justify Trump's wanting no part of this war. The issue in Ukraine is not Russia invading France, the issue is Russia controlling the largest producer of grain as well as innumerable natural resources. Remember that in between armed conflicts is the permanent economic war. And armed conflicts are waged everywhere to control resources. Moronic interview where fake arguments are raised to justify doing the opposite of what common sense calls for. If Trump lacks common sense, Friedman is sucking up to him in this moronic video. Everything else he says is dangerously crazy. There is a reason why being dependent on other countries for essential supplies is not a risk that warrants making our own. Only a country that aspires to seeing it's government replaced in an armed conflict will withdraw commerce of essential goods. Look at China, even in this difficult time that Trump has created for them, they aren't withdrawing supply of rare earth, they aren't selling their US Treasuries to precipitate a financial crisis. War doesn't appeal to them. This is also why they aren't attacking Taiwan, not for some absurd US military reason. Friedman is the reason why the US government has become so inefficient at doing anything, he's a moron like many of his peers. Government jobs don't appeal to intelligent people in the US.

We have been getting ripped off from most countries regarding tariffs.
    That is what I see.
    Am I wrong?
And Canadians are mad at us?

We are in a Chess game and Trump is making friends along the way, of which will put us in a strategic advantage,, As long as we stay ahead in the advanced technology and can indeed stay sufficient in industry and produce,,, Complicated mess

Mr. Friedman apparently does not understand the genius of Russian Military Doctrine in conducting a strategy of attrition against the Ukrainian Forces that were unable to defeat the Counter-revolutionary Forces of Eastern Ukraine after eight years of combat.

  8. @captwillard3346

HIMARS in Ukraine has been a FAILURE. Russian electronic warfare — after a month — figured out how to jam HIMARS guidance systems. Its now basically useless.

The coffee cup in front of Friedman drove me nuts. I think that he is imagining cycles to promote himself and his book. Seems like the guy is an Academic. Even though he sees things as changing for the better he doesn't fully grasp emergence. Uses the phrase "there never was one." Absolute this. Absolute that. blah blah blah.

Additionally, the comments confirm that human beings are emotionally opinionated creatures and have a difficult time ingesting antithetical views. There is a saying, Heaven will look very different than the picture we have in our minds, and so will hell.

Excellent interview Tucker. I very much enjoyed listening to George, a highly intelligent, levelheaded man who speaks from his heart. Keep up the great work!

In Ukrain 46% of the population is Russian. If there was a conflict between Canada let's say and US and 46% of the people leaving on Canadian territory were Americans would Ameruca oblterate Canada for 2 weeks?

  13. @nm999999991

Tucker, while difficult for an honest person to listen to, you are upholding freedom of speech even for a post-modernist con artist who plays someone smarter than he is.

A math equation of his thought is 2 + 2 is 5. If you multiply by 2 you get 8 which is 2 short of a dozen.

    He is just not accurate

Not sure if the comments are filled with legitamnite BOTS or if its just a bunch of small minded NPCs. If these people hold higher stations than making sandwiches at Subway, the world is doomed.

  26. @NedwardJamesAlmost

That was FANTASTIC. I love hearing Friedman's insights. He gets how the world works and is an optimistic realist, or more to the fact a pragmatist. We need more pragmatism.

  27. @AkaFumofo

I disagree with George I believe thr pac Americana era is over and the decline is almost complete

  28. @melodini3125

😂 This guy seems to be drunk off his own cool-aid! He seems to be able to bigger patterns especially historically, but absolutely naive about the details. He reminds me of my 9 year old night before last who stated confidently at the dinner table “I think I might be the smartest person I know!” 😂 It ended up being a pretty interesting conversation in which he quite promptly conceded that maybe there are still a lot of things that mommy and daddy know more about 😂. The one truth I’ve had hammered into me the more I learn is “The more you know, the more you know you don’t know.” This guy doesn’t seem to have gotten past the I know everything point to the I know so little point. He seems like a rosy glasses narrative spinner who is firmly caught in his own web, seeing just enough to keep himself convinced that he’s wise and knowledgeable. I don’t begrudge him that, it’s a comfortable place to exist especially as a old man, but wow! It’s always interesting when Tucker goes into his polite and talented interviewer mode rather than his I’m actually really interested with what you’re saying mode. I always appreciate all the different perspectives he brings on including the ones that just make you face palm the whole time. Glad to see the uproar in the comment section 😂.

  29. @chelseajones5977

I appreciate Tucker listening to people he might not agree with. This guy’s failure to believe there is evil in the world is problematic to his narrative.

😂this guy is so wrong about Russia & china
