How the New York Times Colluded with Blake Lively, According to Justin Baldoni Lawyer Bryan Freedman

Rachel Abrahams

Blake Lively accused of manipulating film production

Brian has revealed shocking details about the ongoing feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldon. According to Brian, Lively took over the editing of a film, excluded the director, and threatened to not promote the movie unless her edits were used. This behavior is highly unusual in Hollywood, with Lively abusing her power as an executive producer.

Furthermore, allegations of sexual harassment and bullying were used by Lively to manipulate the situation and gain control of the film. Text messages and evidence suggest a different narrative than what was portrayed in the media, with Lively being the one in power and control.

Questionable Behavior

Blake Lively’s actions have raised concerns about how far a big star can go in asserting their dominance in a project. The manipulation of the film production process raises questions about professionalism and respect towards the director and the crew.

Why did Blake stay around if she’s ‘uncomfortable’ ? She didn’t sign a contract & wasn’t contracted to produce the Wayfarer
film ?? If anything she wasn’t the best choice to be Lily

  3. @Camille_Anderson

Lively is a nasty, disingenuous horrible liar who sounds like a man, cannot act & had whole movie thestres cheering for the shatk in The Shallows. Hasn't she learned from amber turd that lies catch up with you & finish you? She is awful & insipid. Another case of " my husband -gets-me-my-roles" type of soulless demon.

If playing the victim was an olympic sport, Blake Lively would have a gold medal

When I heard what Reynolds did, I knew why I never liked him since I saw his head covered in garbage on Nickelodeon

Evil! Poor Justin I wish him well and he is coming out this on the right side

Did BL and RR commit an extortion- which is a serious crime under US law…

    * Under U.S. law, extortion is a serious criminal offense that involves obtaining money, property, or services from someone through coercion, threats, or intimidation. It is prohibited under both federal and state laws, with penalties varying based on the severity of the crime and the jurisdiction.

Federal Law: Extortion Under the Hobbs Act (18 U.S.C. § 1951)

The Hobbs Act makes it illegal to obstruct, delay, or affect interstate commerce by robbery or extortion. Extortion is defined as obtaining property from another person through:
    • Force
    • Violence
    • Threats
    • Fear (including threats to reputation or economic harm)
    • Under the color of official right (e.g., public officials abusing their position)

    Federal Penalties for Extortion
    • Up to 20 years in federal prison
    • Heavy fines
    • Forfeiture of illegally obtained property
    • Restitution to the victim

If the extortion involves public officials, it can also lead to charges of bribery, corruption, and abuse of power, which carry additional penalties.

    State Laws and Penalties

Each U.S. state has its own extortion laws, but most classify it as a felony with penalties that can include:
    • Prison sentences ranging from 1 to 20 years (depending on the severity of the crime)
    • Fines that can range from thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars
    • Restitution to victims
    • Probation or parole in some cases

Certain aggravating factors (e.g., using a deadly weapon, targeting a vulnerable person, or being part of an organized crime group) can lead to enhanced sentences.

    Cyber Extortion (18 U.S.C. § 1030)

Cyber extortion involves threats to expose sensitive information, disrupt business operations, or hack systems unless a ransom is paid. Examples include ransomware attacks and doxxing threats.
    Penalties include:
    • Up to 10 years in prison (or more if other crimes are involved)
    • Fines up to $250,000 per offense

    Blackmail vs. Extortion

Blackmail is a form of extortion where someone threatens to reveal damaging information unless they receive money or favors. It is prosecuted similarly to extortion under state and federal laws.

    Defenses Against Extortion Charges

    Common legal defenses include:
    • Lack of intent (e.g., no real threat was made)
    • False accusations
    • Insufficient evidence
    • Entrapment (law enforcement tricked the accused into committing the crime)

    Conclusion

Extortion is a felony offense under both federal and state laws, carrying severe penalties, including long prison sentences and hefty fines. The severity of the punishment depends on factors like interstate commerce involvement, use of threats, or abuse of official power.

  14. @DirtBikePastrana

New York Times takes a MASSIVE reputation hit from this. And we can all thanks Taylor Swift for that connection.

  15. @DirtBikePastrana

I cannot believe this psycho stole Justin’s entire experience from him. Absolutely vile.

  18. @ccoolstuff1

This feels and sounds like another Amber Heard event. I wish Ryan wasn't a part of it as he seems like a good guy. I never heard of Justin, but I believe him. I hope justice is served.

  19. @Shelbymaldita

Blake acts like a high school popular cheer leader. She is so conceited and full of herself that she needs being humbled like AH in the court. Extortion and perjury are the right labels to the cruel couple. Justice for JB hope the couple gets bankrupt from lying.

  20. @courtneyawalsh

Sloping shoulders is a bio female trait. Hard jawline is a bio male trait. Much more to this story than anyone realizes. But Megyn knows that.

  21. @CplArvinBethe

Why would he try to smear the costar of a picture he directed? That maketh no sense.

  27. @caitlinelizabeth7808

4:28 …incorrect; Blake Lively is in fact a victim of her own atrocious personal style , as made evident by her horrendous outfits in the film.

  28. @kristileisman8761

  34. @ljclegg65

Any actor in the future will be too scared to act opposite her.

  35. @mperlatti

Megyn you are covering this crap?? Why????

  36. @ekopf

She filed her complaint on Friday, December 20th. The New York Times reached out to Justin Baldoni at 9:45 p.m. on Friday, December 20th asking for a response to their story. They ran the story the next morning on Dec 21st. However, given that the New York Times said they poured over thousands of pages of documents, means either they already had all the text and emails before she filed the complaint or they're lying about pouring over the documents. Which is it?
It looks more like Blake's team planted the story with the New York Times before she ever filed her complaint.

  37. @phil.2345

Megyn Kelly having her own attorney isn’t a conflict of interest?

  38. @RebelsRun

Hell hath no fury like a postpartum woman being called fat. Oh Justin…thats Deadpool’s wife…what were you thinking!

  39. @platinumdune5946

Oh no… ummm, SIR… an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER is at the TOP. A PRODUCER is beneath them… which is what Blake was🤦🏼‍♀️ c’mon… this is Hollywood 101.

  40. @QueenMary-u8e

This guy was a nobody & had a plan. He kept encouraging her to give creative input & tells shes a creative genius, making her feel good & believe in herself yet exploited her behind the scenes and sweet talk his editors, once the woman spread her wings and tried to give her creative input. There was already clear evidence of him asking to plant bullying stories bout the woman yet Amber Heard haters chose to see past it. Ryan and the rest of the cast saw the threats and the nobody's true agenda and all unfollowed him for good reason. They were still professional to complete the movie. It's not about influence or wealth. I believe more truths are coming. Blake's legal team must be allowing Justin to reveal more damaging things about her to prove her case (instead of merely defending his text messages bout helping to bury someone). Blake has matured and smiled through the pain despite a childish reporter choosing to bring up old videos to hinder others from getting better. That childish reporter is stuck in the past over a small matter while Blake will come out of this stronger. I stand with Blake.

  41. @QueenMary-u8e

The more people bash Blake and support Justin will only cause Justin's case to self destruct. The more hate Blake gets, the higher the damages she suffer is. Him releasing these text to imply that she is a bully only proves Blake's case, and her team is holding key evidence of Justin's plans to gain pity & push his agenda. Remember, he was a nobody. Now he is getting air time. Blake's side has been professional leaving it to the authorities and still completing the movie, while Justin made sure to be recorded whining over a basement he 'alleged' was ordered by Blake and sugar coating his editors as a good guy. Him & his team use social media heartstrings instead. People close to them both during filming knew the truth bout this guy's intentions. That's why they all unfollowed him. Looks like to me, a man who likes & supports porn, feeding his team to plant bullying allegations bout another woman, wants hate on blake to gain pity & publicity, and one who is calculated and very intelligent knowing the right things to say bout the movie. Blake still smiles & looks disoriented aloof through knowing his intentions and hidden emotional pain. She's strong & matured over the years and no childish reporter can get on top of this. Ryan will stand by her all the way. While Justin continues to prove her case with more defamation and character tarnishing & she's holding concrete evidence of him using her.

  42. @mariabederio8985

justin should sue that bully couple for all their worth😊😊😊
