Foreign District Hosts International Youth Day Fest with HIV/AIDS Marathon Race
Rio Grande, Foreign – In an effort to empower the youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the Foreign District AIDS prevention and control unit, along with International Youth Day Management, hosted a youth Fest featuring a five-kilometer marathon race. The event aimed to inspire innovation and movement towards combating AIDS, with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kevin Kumbabra leading the charge.
Educational opportunities were provided to the 19 youths who participated in the race, with certificate and cash prizes up for grabs. Participants donned special t-shirts emblazoned with messages about HIV/AIDS awareness, as they ran to spread the message further.
