I am a big fan of JD. As a golfer, entertainer, etc he is well worth watching. But as an authority on the subject of safest places to live … not so much. Fayetteville, Arkansas is definitely NOT a safe place to live. I realize that in the 1980s when he was there in college the crime rate was low. But not anymore, not by a long shot! Combine that with the reckless way people drive there and their attitude about protecting each other from Covid, and it all adds up to be an extremely UNSAFE place to live. No offense, JD. I know you like the U of A and you don't want to badmouth the town.

I booked a trip to play TPC Scottsdale in AZ. I'm from Canada. I've never played in extremely dry heat before (played many tropical environs) so I called them up and asked how I should prepare for the conditions. It was over 100 degrees. The club pro told me don't drink booze, don't drink coffee, and make use of the water stations at each hole. So my friend and I are paired with these 2 Brits, and I'm embarrassing myself all thru the front 9. Finally, I say f-it. I call over the cart girl and start downing tequila and beers. On the back nine, I went 1 under including the snake pit and the 2 Brits were confounded.
